The Arenal Sound festival is an independent music festival, seeking the diversity of music to please each of the audiences. It takes place at El Arenal Beach (as the name of the festival says), in the town of Burriana (province of Castellón, Comunidad Valenciana, Spain). It is celebrated every summer since the summer of 2010 during the first week of the month of August. The Arenal Sound, also called AS, is characterized by its large number of young people and it differs from other festivals due to its proximity to the beach by having one of its stages on the same sand.

This festival has become one of the benchmarks of the national summer season. In fact, it is the most multitudinous of the Spanish geography.

Here are a series of instructions to learn how to survive to Arenal Sound:

What to bring?

We must know that most of the time we will be bikini or swimsuit, so it will not be necessary to carry a suitcase too large with clothes that were not used. Despite this, we should not forget some warmer garment for the night as it refreshes.

Taking into account that we can stay or in an apartment or in one of the two camps (Arenal area and Malvarrosa area, the latter one further away from the concerts), if you choose to go to one of the campsites you will have to take the tent , mat, fridge sack and of course a chair and a table. It is also important to remember to take a flashlight for when we return to the store at night and obviously sun protection. In addition, carrying a water dispenser will be appreciated in the future.

What currency is used?

Once at the festival, we should forget about our coins since the official currency is the tuents. With them we can buy drinks in the bars of the festival and the camping area. In addition, if we have more than once the festival is over, they can be exchanged for Gigas for your mobile.

How to arrive?

The same festival offers you the possibility of acquiring a bus ticket that you leave at the same door of the campsite you have selected. On the other hand if you go by car you can park in the parking spaces limited by the festival.

What is the bracelet and where is it collected?

Depending on the campsite you have, you will have to go to one accreditation point or another. There will be one on the seafront next to the Arenal campsite, and another next to the Malvarrosa campsite. If you are VIP or your subscription does not include camping you will have a different row to put on your bracelet.

About the camping areas?

As previously mentioned, there will be the Arenal camping area and the Malvarrosa area. In them there will be mixed and free openings. You can also find special payment baths with individual showers (€ 4) and WC + sink with plug (€ 1).

What to eat?

Within the camping areas you will have a whole street of foodtrucks. There is also a supermarket nearby that enables buses to and from the campsites. They are free as long as you show the ticket that you have bought in one of them. If you do not want to go so far, leaving the premises and walking along the avenue towards the port, there are small supermarkets that make the August with us.

And regarding the schedules and map of the site?

The festival announced the best news of all, Arenal Sound returned to the beach! And luckily, in the 2016 edition the dust cloud was insufferable. Here you can check the map of the site.

Avoid entering and leaving the venue during peak hours (before and after the headliner shows). Organize your schedule well so as not to lose anyone and give everything at concerts!
